"Bungeeeeeeeeeeeee!"If you've come here via Illustration Friday, then I'll come clean straight away. This isn't exactly an illustration, more a screen grab from a very rough and hastily put together animation.
I had every intention of drawing this bungee jumping Granny properly, but I got more interested in seeing her in action. Then I though of a silly joke and...well.. that was that.

I wish I could have spent more time making her bounce around on the cord. But there just wasn't enough time. So that's that.

ReplyDeleteWould have been funny if her eyes had kept going a little at the end - I always figured that the eyes would keep moving forwards a little and bulge outwards when you bungee!

ReplyDeleteThanks Michael, the eye comment is bang on. Maybe even leave the eyes hanging after the recoil Tex style. But I didn't really build her properly so her head is just one big symbol. Maybe I'll go back and tweak her if I have time.

ReplyDeleteA cool illustration that also moves! I'm in awe of how you can animate that so quickly. The gag action is just superb (roadrunner meets ren and stimpy :).... I can just hear the looney tunes sound effect 'stretching elastic' (wile e coyote acme bungee) coupled with the clattering teeth! Careful now, you set a precedent, all your illustration fridays will have to move from here on in ;)
