Great! She looks quite comfortable up there.
haha, this is pretty cool. I like the texture.

Great stuff as always Chris! Congrats on the new job in Australia too dude.... Animation and Australia, doesn't get much better than that man! Take care, be blessed, and keep the great work comin'!
ha! love it!the facial expressions really make the illustration come to life!!nice work!
Nice job dude!!
haha, that's so true!
Lovely and funny,great job
Annoying... oh yes... but I guess it isn't a reason not to do it. I saw a quote somewhere by someone...sometime... I forget... ... what was I saying...?... oh yes... (to paraphrase) just because someone else has done it before don't feel you are copying, just do what you want in YOUR way to do justice to the concept and pay tribute to your influences. Still pi**es you off when someone is there first though! Love the 'over the hill' card by the by... was my birthday earlier this month so I can relate ;)
LOL That's very funny!!
spot on! great illo and yes, hasn't it all been done before.
Hi, I really like your illustrations. Especially the contained boy, haha. Now I have to check out the rest of your work.
Thanks everyone, hope I didn't come across like a grumpy old sourpuss. Matt has a very good point. We should do whatever we want, no matter what's come before. Why? Because we love it!
great piece, I love the scale and the colors. It reminds me of when we were climbing 14ers in Colorado and we had a really peaceful beautiful climb then right as we hit the summit there was a big noisy organized party of teenagers! Heee heee.
Awesome. Love the climbers expression.
Ha ha... she doesn't look all sweaty and tired and weighted down as he..hee hee!Your work is always so clever!
Very funny. By chance I did an animated cartoon about Obama-Clinton with a similar theme. I uploaded at Youtube and you can watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acpt-QpvIiM
Wonderful image and well put point (both you and Matt). I often come across similar work - often decades old - that is frighteningly similar. I guess I take it with a grain of salt and realize the subtle difference make it mine and the confidence to know I didn't intentionally steal the image. Great card below as well. Thank you for your kind words.
I take style over speed any day!Great work again.
Yes it is! So what they can climb up the side of a mountain. I can do it too with a pencil and some paper without killing myself he he he!!! This is wonderful and fun. I always enjoy looking at your work. It's fun and always amazing!
really nice! i always love the way you're backgrounds bleed out to white in that way. what do use? what's ur fav tools to use for these drawings?
That's a fun illo- the characters are really appealing. Awesome!
It made me laugh, and recognize the truth in what you said. Good job.
Nicely done. Great cartoon and humerous story rolled into one.
WOW!! FANTASTIC WORKS MAN!!your character are very cool....great illustration...now,i am your fan!!!
Is the first time I see this blog and... IT'S AMAZING! I want to draw like all of you! I only can do things like "El Rano" (it´s on Youtube), and i can´t see my job, like yours. Very great!
your style and wit is really nice :)

love the guy in the back - the expression is great
your illos are the wittiest (can i say that?) and funniest things!
I love the relation you created between climbing and drawing a cartoon, it's breathtaking. This activity is so difficult to realize. The climbing is a really difficult sport, and it's evident in the face of the guy.
Poor guy climbing to reach the top pf the mountain while the grandma is resting there, but what we can do, the women always have privileges we should respect.
Mi dispiace ma non so scrivere ne parlare in inglese (devo imparare), comunque ti faccio i miei complimenti, mi piace il tuo lavoro che mi da voglia di migliorare e spunti per i miei disegni. Sei un grande!!
You've come this far, may as well leave a comment while you're here! Go on, you know you want to.
