Joints Don't Jump

Late last year, I got the great opportunity to provide some Character designs for Animax Entertainment. The resulting TV commercial is for The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a light hearted look at joint pain. It was a real buzz to see other people bring my characters to life, and I think Animax did a fine job.

Hope you likes!

  4. The character design is just great... did you do backgrounds as well...? They seem to have been in tune to your work, really entertaining...which is saying a lot from a joint pain advert :) ! So you grew up on the Blighty coast...? Where was that... I remember bleak but bracing holidays in winter on the Northumberland coast... character building! Nice windswept illustration, captures things perfectly.

  10. Thanks everybody.

Matt: The Backgrounds were done in house at Animax by a guy I only know as Carl. They are awesome and set the characters off perfectly. If I find out more about him, I'll post a link to his stuff.

Also Matt, and for those who are interested, I spent the first 20 years of my life, living in a Kent village between Canterbury and Herne Bay. Herne Bay was recently made famous as the backdrop for Emily "I'm a Lady" Howard, from Little Britain fame. Interesting stuff, huh?

téb.art: Yes this was done in Flash, I believe.

Ken: Thanks very much, though I shouldn't take credit for the animation. Again, that was all done by the folks at Animax.
